IF YOU HAVE BEEN ARRESTED

It is important to get a lawyer as soon as possible from the time you were charged. Do not speak to the police unless your lawyer is present.

Email us at helpforexoffenders@yahoo.com to get a good referral who will work hard for you on your case and will represent you and fight for your right.

KNOW YOUR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS

Know your rights.

1.If pulled over, you don't have to let the officer search your car when he asks permission. You can decline and he probably won't search.

2. If stopped on the street, you don't have to produce ID. Just ask the officer if you are under arrest and if he says no, tell him you are leaving to speak with a lawery.

3. Many cases are won on illegal search and seizure. Police officers often violate their own laws by conducting warrantless illegal searched of body and person. Tell them you protest and are against the search if they search without a warrant , your permission, or probable cause.

4. You have the right not to say anything, so exercise this right.

5. Be careful of officers who try to talk to you and tell you to be honest and tell the truth to them right away so "everything works out." They may say the best route for you to avoid jail is to tell them the truth right there and now. Tell the the truth, the whole, truth, but in the presence of a lawyer. Police often use this trick to persuade people to immediatley confess and gather more information to prosecute you. Most times, it is admissible in court as evidence against you.
