SECTION 8 HOUSING

Section 8 and other programs are availbe at your local county Housing Authority. Please see our database of housing resources which will be coming soon....

HALFWAY AND RECOVERY HOUSES

You can apply to a halfway house or recovery house upone your release.  Some are free while others charge for room and board.  Typically, you will have one or two roomates and should abide by the program's rules.  Remeber that this is temporary and you will move on to the next step: having your own apartment.  Please see our housing database which is coming soon...

TRANSITIONAL LIVING PROGRAMS

Transitional living programs are designed to help you live in your own place and serve as a transition between homelessness and having a home.  Again, these programs vary from place to place and differ in their rates.  Some are free.  Please be patient and follow the rules here as you will be paying reduced rent.  Plan to be here for about 6months to one year.  After you establish a bank account and save money, you will be able to shop for your own apartment.  Check out our database of housing coming soon for additional information on Transitional Living Programs...
